Blast

Fantastic big band, full of members with west coast roots..

Today it is more than 25 years since one of the most popular 80´s Danish live bands started. The group "Blast" stopped in 1990 after 10 years activity with more than 300 concerts and 4 albums. Since then there has been many people asking to get this great band together again and finally in 2005 the group did an reunion concert.

At the same time EMI Records released a CD with 12 of their best songs from the 4 albums and also added two bonus tracks from a live session in Hookfarm Studio from 1985.

Thru out the years Blast has been having different musicians in the band, but always kept people from the original setup. Many of the artists has been influended by the american music style and especially the west coast music. This you can hear in many of the arrangements of the songs at the different albums.
