Bruce Gaitsch

Very active on the west coast music scene

Bruce Gaitsch was born in Chicago in 1953. He started playing guitar at the age of eight years old, and played in bands around Chicago from age 12 on. His career as a studio musician started in Chicago in 1975. After 3000+ sessions, he moved to LA in 1984 to write more and play less. Now he lives in Nashville and continues writing and recording music.

Bruce Gaitsch´s first solo record came out on Toshiba EMI records in Japan. Richard Marx, Timothy B. Schmit, Bill Champlin and Marc Jordan sing songs for me as guest artists on the CD.

Some of Bruce's songs have been recorded by artist like Madonna, Richard Marx, Timothy B. Schmit, Peter Cetera, Chicago, Kansas, The Fixx, Restless Heart, Poco, Marc Jordan, Jay Graydon, Bill Champlin, Phillip Bailey, Tom Scott, Agnetha Faltskog, Jennifer Rush, Lara Fabian, Hanne Boel and many more.

As a guitarplayer he has also been very active and has played guitar for the following artists: Madonna, Michael Jackson, Richard Marx, Kermit the Frog, Don Henley, Jimmy Buffet, Bob Seger, Peter Cetera, Roger Waters, Luther Vandross, Stephanie Mills, Chaka Khan, Amy Sky, Agnetha Faltskog, Glenn Frey, Jody Wakley, Lionel Ritchie, Julian Lennon, Giant Steps, Dionne Farris, Sheena Easton, Julio Iglesias, Barbara Streisand, Olivia Newton-John, Chicago, Timothy B. Schmit, Celine Dion, Marc Jordan, Nicolas Peyrac, Bill Champlin, Restless Heart, Tom Jones an many more.

Beside his solocareer and all the work with different artists Bruce Gaitsh has been working together with the singer Tommy Funderburk in the group King of Hearts.
