22nd February 2010 will be the release date of the new album "Heartland" from Sko/Torp. You can now hear one of the songs from the album at their MySpace site. It has been several years since the last studio album, but Soren Sko & Palle Torp has been touring a lot in Scandinavia and at the same time been in the studio to write new songs. Steve Lukather wins fifth Eddy Christiani Award…

On Saturday April 3, 2010 the fifth Eddy Christiani Award will be presented. Guitarist Steve Lukather will receive the award during the prize’s first lustrum. Five time Grammy winner Steve Lukather is known worldwide for his versatile, creative and sublime way of playing the guitar as Toto’s guitarist, as a studio musician and in his solo projects. The Eddy Christiani Award is an initiative of poppuntzeeland and is presented every year to a guitarist who has won his spurs within the international pop business and who has delivered an inspiring contribution to the development of electrical guitar music. Previous winners of the award include Leendert Haaksma (2006), Dany Lademacher (2007), Adrian Vandenberg (2008) and Jan Akkerman (2009).
